DURATION: 5 Days DELEGATES: 10 Maximum
DELEGATE GROUP: This course is designed for personnel involved in the delivery or development of training or for those wishing to progress in this area.
PRE ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS: Candidates selected to attend this course should have good communication and organisational skills, have the ability to understand approved guidance and legislative standards. They must also be highly motivated and have a desire to pass on their knowledge and skills to others.
AIM: The aim of the course is to train students to prepare and deliver training sessions and exercises utilising appropriate teaching aids where necessary to a satisfactory standard of competency.
OBJECTIVES:
Having successfully completed the course the student will:
- have gained an understanding and competency in the role and requirements of a trainer
- be able to plan and prepare a twenty-minute training session with full supporting notes and visual aids.
- be able to deliver a twenty-minute training session that will include a demonstration.
- be able to demonstrate competency to a standard acceptable to meet the criteria of the course.
IF applicable, attain City and Guilds 7300 award – Introduction to Trainer Skills
IT facilities, flip charts, transparencies, 3.5 disks and training notes will be supplied by IFTC.
