SUPERVISOR REVALIDATION (LOW CATEGORY AERODROME RFF CAT 2)
DURATION: 4 Days fully residential TRAINEE GROUP: The programme is designed for personnel who have already successfully completed the Low Category Aerodrome Supervisor Initial programme or equivalent and have consolidated that knowledge with further application in the workplace. PRE ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS: The training is of a physical nature and all students attending must be medically fit to carry out such work. The programme may be offered to any persons having a current Certificate of Competence as a Supervisor (Low Category Aerodrome) or equivalent or one which has expired within the preceding six months. AIM: To revalidate the core skills required of those persons in a supervisory capacity for Fire and Rescue Service duties at Lower Category Aerodromes and to enable them to carry out basic training at their respective airports. The structured learning programme will be formally assessed through written and practical assessments. On successful completion of the programme the individual will be issued with an appropriate Certificate of Competence. The period of validity of the Certificate of Competence will be 4 years OBJECTIVES: At the end of this programme the student will be able to: Demonstrate a level of competence commensurate with the role/responsibility of a supervisor on a Low Category Aerodrome and apply the appropriate tactics and techniques used when dealing with various simulated aircraft accident/incidents likely to be found at Category 1 and 2 aerodromes |
