COMPANY SPECIFIC FIRE AWARENESS AND PRECAUTIONS

TRAINEE GROUP: This course is designed to train staff in fire awareness and precautions in the workplace.

PRE ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS: None

AIM:

To assist companies in complying with their obligations under current Fire Safety Legislation and to provide staff with the knowledge and skill when dealing with small fires in the workplace.

OBJECTIVES:

At the end of this course the employee will have an awareness of, and be capable of using and applying the following:

• Chemistry of Fire, Transmission of Heat, Classification of Fire and types of hand held extinguishers
   
• Good housekeeping, risk awareness and ‘hazard spotting
  ’
• Practical use of various fire extinguishers
