AIM: The aim of this structured programme is to provide learning opportunities for personnel who may be required to support the Supervisor (Watch Commander) in effecting command and control at aircraft accidents/incidents. OBJECTIVES: The learning opportunities afforded by this SLP are designed to enable students to: Show leadership skills that relate to Aerodrome Fire Service operation.
The programme is designed for personnel who are currently in a Firefighter role and have demonstrated Leadership potential. Individuals will be assessed through written questions and observation of performance in a simulated command role. On successful completion of the programme and the associated assessment process, the individual will be issued with a Certificate of Competence and a record of achievement relating to the relevant areas of CAP 699. The period of validity of the Certificate of Competence is 4 years |
